Week 12: Origami

This week was loaded with activities and I thought origami at home would be easy to fit in to my schedule: it’s an activity that needs little preparation and can be started and stopped at anytime.

I had a hard time concentrating and paused several times for other things which I thought were more urgent. I think I folded paper for little over an hour, with several interruptions along the way. The activity in itself was fun though. The instructions in the book I had were easy to follow, and something is made out of a flat piece of paper within minutes. I also really liked that I used coloured paper.

The main conclusion I made after this date is that when there is limited time, it might be a better idea to take an activity that can’t be interrupted or stopped at any moment. It’s perhaps also good to look at priorities, and to regard the artist date as a valuable experience that should not be put aside too easily.

For your information, I used this website to start my origami journey. I also bought the book ‘Everyone Can Learn Origami’ suggested there.
