Week 18b: Watching a Sunset

In the strict sense, this artist date wasn’t an artist date: I was not alone but with my husband. We were on holiday in Ria Formosa Natural Parc in Portugal. We had booked a boat trip to explore the lagoon and the islands. We parted at 5 o’clock in order to view the sunset upon heading back to Faro Port.

When it was 7 o’clock, we were directly facing the setting sun. I was sitting next to my husband, but we both were alone in our own thoughts. I looked around and watched the islands, the birds and the ships. I looked at the waves the boat made and listened to the accompanying sounds. Meanwhile, the sun and the sky changed colours and the temperature dropped.

When it was nearly time for the sun to finally go to sleep, I ended my artist date and turned towards my husband, sharing this beautiful moment with him.

A very beautiful date indeed!
